Originally Sanskrit in nature, the definition of Shabada is the “utterance of a speech sound“. A “Shabada” is not static; it is intentional, purposeful, fluid, and energetic. Derived from the root “Shabada“, my Shabad is a promise to generate and promote freedom from bondage spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically in the form of written expression by supporting others either through literary editing or review or by sharing my own work.
In the last state, “the Shabad” is calm and clear allowing one to express oneself freely and fearlessly. Shabada is a tool to be used to enhance, beautify, and review life experiences creatively. It allows one to develop their literary potential not only as an individual, but also as a global community, spiritually connected and sharing commonplace scenarios through various styles of written communication.
The Greek originated word “Ambrosia” in simple English means “nectar“. However, I personally believe that the correlation between “Shabada” and “Ambrosia” is complimentary and combined has the capacity to complete the other. According to Greek mythology and history of English Literature, “Ambrosia” was a potent beverage that would grant humans and demigods immortality, a new lease of life. In present day, this concept of everlasting is now found in the limitless fountain of knowledge and wisdom that can be found through reading, writing, and most definitively technology.
